Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a day shift travel assignment at a long-term acute care hospital in Seattle, WA.

Details

• Day shift hours, 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• 13-week contract
• Works every other weekend
• Inpatient respiratory therapy unit at a long-term acute care hospital in Seattle, WA

Requirements

• Active WA RT license required (license required if applicable)
• NBRC RRT certification required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required through the American Heart Association (AHA); RCIS certifications are not accepted
• Minimum 1 year of recent respiratory therapy experience (2 years preferred)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway maintenance, delivery of medicated aerosols, pulmonary function studies, blood gas analysis, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and insertion of arterial lines
• Assists physicians with both invasive and non-invasive procedures, including intubations
• Provides diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary services to inpatients and outpatients following protocols approved by the medical staff
• All certifications must remain valid through at least the first 30 days of the assignment start date
