American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of acute care experience for a night shift Pulmonary Services position at a 558-bed acute care teaching facility in Atlantis, FL.

Work in the Respiratory/Pulmonary Services department of a 558-bed acute care medical/surgical facility and healthcare complex
-
Facility specializes in cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, and bariatrics
-
Nationally recognized teaching facility
-
Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Equipment used includes oxygen cylinders, nebulizers, suction machines, CPAP/BiPAP, V60, Servo-I, Servo-U, and high-flow oxygen devices

Charting/documentation via Meditech (experience preferred but not required)

Patient ratios vary

On-call requirements as needed

Unit staffed with 5–8 team members including a supervisor RRT and 4–8 RRTs per shift
-
Active RRT credential and state license (license required if applicable)

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
-
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care hospital RRT experience
-
At least one prior travel assignment completed
-
No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — Canadian SSNs not accepted

Two professional references required (due to Florida-based position)

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible

Provide respiratory treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, asthma, pneumonia, and emphysema

Stroke education and experience is preferred

An active, collaborative approach with physicians is preferred
-
Grey scrubs required

All certifications must remain active and must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date; AHA or ARC certifications accepted
