American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of recent RT experience for a 12-week night shift travel assignment at a long-term acute care hospital in Dallas, TX.

Long-term acute care hospital setting in Dallas, TX

Respiratory Therapy department serving both inpatient and outpatient populations
-
Night shift hours: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Every other weekend required
-
12-week contract
-
NBRC RRT or CRT certification required

Active Texas RT license required (proof of pending acceptable if applicable)

Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required — RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted

Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience required

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

All certifications must be current and not expiring within the first 30 days of assignment start

SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway maintenance, delivery of medicated aerosols, arterial line insertion, intubation, pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gas analysis

Assists physicians with both invasive and non-invasive cardiopulmonary procedures

Follows protocols approved by medical staff and department policies to deliver timely diagnostic and therapeutic services

Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate

Candidates who have previously worked at any Kindred Hospital facility in a permanent or travel capacity should be prepared to disclose that history during the consideration process
