Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of recent RT experience for a 12-week night shift travel assignment at a long-term acute care hospital in Dallas, TX.

Details

• Long-term acute care hospital setting in Dallas, TX
• Respiratory Therapy department serving both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Night shift hours: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• 12-week contract

Requirements

• NBRC RRT or CRT certification required
• Active Texas RT license required (proof of pending acceptable if applicable)
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required — RCIS and RQI certifications are not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• All certifications must be current and not expiring within the first 30 days of assignment start
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway maintenance, delivery of medicated aerosols, arterial line insertion, intubation, pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gas analysis
• Assists physicians with both invasive and non-invasive cardiopulmonary procedures
• Follows protocols approved by medical staff and department policies to deliver timely diagnostic and therapeutic services
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility may be subject to a local pay rate
• Candidates who have previously worked at any Kindred Hospital facility in a permanent or travel capacity should be prepared to disclose that history during the consideration process
