Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a PM shift position in the Toledo, OH market, with the ability to float across Toledo-area hospitals.

Details

  • PM shift, 12-hour shifts
  • Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
  • Provides respiratory care to neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Floating to all Toledo market hospitals may be required
  • Local candidates are accepted

Requirements

  • RRT required; CRT accepted if within six months of graduation from a Registry Program, with RRT required within 90 days of hire
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
  • Active Ohio Respiratory Care license required (license required if applicable)
  • Current certifications required: ACLS and BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider)
  • NRP required for those working in the NICU
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
  • Proof of address required for consideration (e.g., driver's license, voter registration card, federal tax return, military Form 2058, or W2 from the U.S. government)
  • Full SSN and DOB (MM/DD) required for consideration
  • 1 supervisory reference required for consideration
  • Copy of certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provides invasive and non-invasive respiratory care under general physician supervision, including evaluation of cardiopulmonary function and treatment of cardiopulmonary impairment
  • Clinical experience in emergency airway management, extubation, tracheotomies, and naso- and oro-pharyngeal airways is preferred
  • Experience in a variety of ICUs, emergency, and/or specialty care areas is preferred
  • Competency in ventilator operation, patient assessment, and arterial punctures is expected
  • Must have a thorough understanding of all drugs used in respiratory care procedures
  • Pass/fail EKG test administered on the first day with two attempts allowed; study guides will be provided
  • Dysrhythmia exam is not required
