Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience for a 16-week night shift contract in a hospital respiratory care unit requiring Epic proficiency and schedule flexibility.

Details

• Hospital-based Respiratory Care unit
• Flexibility to support the nursery and ER as needed
• 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule runs Monday through Sunday with no block scheduling
• Minimum every other weekend availability required, with schedule adjusted to meet unit and patient care needs
• Epic EMR experience required
• 16-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• NRP certification required, or documented experience or exposure to neonatal/pediatric populations
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required — non-negotiable
• Active NY RRT license, or proof of pending NY license application with applied date (license required if applicable)
• Current RRT credential
• Two professional references required: at least one from a Nurse Manager or Supervisor within the past 6 months, and one from within the past year of employment
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Must have reliable personal transportation — public transportation is not accessible in this area; all-season or snow tires required November through April

Additional Information

• Bi-weekly orientations begin on Mondays
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility (measured by straight line) are considered local; candidates between 51–100 miles are eligible for the travel rate
• All employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained
• Complete work history is required, including bed count, EMR, and facility type
