Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience in ventilator management, ICU, and ER settings for a 13-week day shift contract in Lansing, MI.

Details

• Hospital-based respiratory services department at a non-teaching facility
• Patient care includes therapeutic and diagnostic pulmonary and cardiovascular procedures across ICU and ER settings
• Ventilator, BiPAP, and ABG experience utilized in this role
• EMR: Cerner
• 12-hour day shifts
• Every third weekend required
• On-call required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RRT experience required
• Experience with ventilators, BiPAP, ICU, ER, and ABG required
• ACLS preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• NBRC certification required
• Active Michigan state license required at time of consideration — license required if applicable

Additional Information

• Evaluate patient response to respiratory therapy and take appropriate corrective action
• Provide education to patients and staff on respiratory procedures, equipment operation, and safety precautions
• Perform routine maintenance and service checks on respiratory equipment
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation
• Galaxy blue scrubs required
• Candidates within a 35-mile radius of the facility are considered local travelers and are subject to a reduced travel pay rate
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested for this assignment
