Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NICU and ICU experience for a night shift travel assignment in a hospital-based respiratory therapy department in Fort Worth, TX.

Details

  • Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy unit at an acute care facility in Fort Worth, TX
  • NICU patient population; experience with all age ranges required
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 6:30 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call requirements
  • 13-week contract
  • Procedures performed include ABGs, assist with intubation, nebulizer treatments, Metaneb, IPPB, and CPT
  • Meditech used for documentation
  • Preferred experience with Servo I ventilator and I-Stat

Requirements

  • Active RRT license and certification required; license required if applicable
  • Minimum 2+ years of hospital experience
  • NICU experience required
  • ICU experience required
  • ED experience required
  • Ability to draw ABGs required
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
  • Current NRP certification (American Academy of Pediatrics) required for all RT staff caring for neonates
  • Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start
  • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
  • One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Black scrubs are required and must be purchased by the candidate
  • Artificial nails, gel nails, and similar nail enhancements are not permitted
  • Hair must be neat and clean; no extreme styles or colors; must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer
  • Visible piercings other than ears (including nose rings and tongue rings) are not permitted
  • Body art should be covered whenever possible
