American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift position at a regional hospital in Billings, MT.

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications

May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift

Uses Epic for charting

Graduate of an NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution
-
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
-
Current state Registered Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)

BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued and must not expire prior to assignment start)

Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures; obtains arterial blood gases; and initiates respiratory protocols based on clinical assessments

Administers medications safely and evaluates patient response, communicating progress to physicians, nurses, and other departments
-
Educates patients and families on self-care techniques and health promotion
-
Acts as a resource, consultant, and mentor to CRT staff and may be assigned special clinical projects by department leadership

Participates in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and departmental research activities
-
Former permanent staff of any Intermountain facility must be separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
