American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift travel assignment at a regional hospital in Grand Junction, CO.

Provides advanced-level respiratory care focused on diagnosing, evaluating, treating, and managing cardiopulmonary deficiencies and abnormalities
-
3x12-hour night shifts per week, 36 hours per week

Floating to other departments may be required based on business need

On-call during regularly scheduled shifts may be required

Epic EMR used for charting

Graduate of an NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution
-
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

Active Colorado Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)

Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience

Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA), must not expire prior to assignment start

Epic EMR experience required

DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

2 professional references required for consideration

Performs and interprets diagnostic testing procedures, obtains arterial blood gases, and initiates respiratory protocols based on clinical assessments

Serves as a resource, consultant, and mentor to CRT staff and may be assigned special clinical projects by leadership

Communicates patient progress and condition to physicians, nurses, and other departments
-
Educates patients and families on self-care techniques and health promotion
-
Participates in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and research activities
-
Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
