American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Acute Dialysis night shift position requiring a minimum of 2 years of acute hemodialysis experience and proficiency with Fresenius and Baxter equipment.

Acute hemodialysis unit with 9 standard stations and 1 isolation station
-
Patient population includes end-stage renal disease, chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, peritoneal dialysis failure/infection requiring modality change, and transplant rejection requiring hemodialysis
-
ICU/PCU and bedside treatments performed 1:1, including patients on ventilators, titratable IV drips, and airborne isolation

Hemodialysis room operates two shifts per day; patients transported via Patient Transport requested through Epic
-
Patient ratio of 1:1–2
-
12-hour night shifts (17:45–06:15), 36 hours per week
-
No on-call requirement; when PD/hemodialysis night shift census is low, staff may be assigned to task-based duties within Division departments (no patient assignment)

Floating is not required

Every other weekend required

Epic Dimensions used for documentation; Pyxis for medication management; Voalte phone for nurse communication

Fresenius T Hemodialysis Machines with CliC and Bibag, Marcor Millennium HX portable reverse osmosis machines, and Baxter peritoneal dialysis equipment used on unit

Active NC or Compact RN license required

BLS certification required
-
ACLS and CDN or CNN certifications preferred

Minimum 2 years of acute hemodialysis experience required

Night shift RNs must be competent with cycler, CAPD, obtaining PD fluid samples, and hemodialysis
-
Recent acute hemodialysis experience with Fresenius equipment required
-
Peritoneal dialysis experience with Baxter equipment required

Epic experience required

Orientation is 24 hours total: 12 hours ICU/offsite and 12 hours dialysis room/peritoneal dialysis

Scrubs are provided
-
Contract staff are expected to participate on a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters
-
Mid-contract consolidation to a centralized office may occur, with possible reassignment to other units as needed
-
RTO requests after booking are not permitted and cannot be arranged on-site; call-offs or unapproved time off may result in contract cancellation
-
First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience
