Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) Float Rapid Response position with a minimum of 2 years of experience, working night shifts at an HCA facility in Asheville, NC.

Details

  • CVICU (unit 650) in an acute care hospital setting in Asheville, NC
  • Float position covering CVICU, cardiac step-down/progressive care (E4), and cath lab recovery
  • Rapid response role requiring capability with ECMO, LVAD, and cath lab recovery patients
  • Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 8-week contract
  • No RTO or special scheduling accommodations will be made

Requirements

  • Active NC RN license or a compact RN license currently in hand
  • Minimum 2 years of recent CVICU or relevant cardiovascular nursing experience
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of start)
  • Current ACLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for CVICU RNs
  • Experience with ECMO, LVAD, and/or cath lab recovery required
  • US SSN and date of birth required for consideration — Canadian SSNs are not accepted
  • One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
  • No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
  • Orientation consists of a 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour on-unit shift
  • RNs are required to wear all navy, all white, or a combination of navy and white scrubs
  • Tobacco use is prohibited on all campus properties, including personal vehicles in campus parking areas
