Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Northern Nevada, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ER experience, Cerner proficiency, and an active NV RN license.

Details

  • Fast-paced Emergency Department treating a diverse patient population including urgent care, psych, pediatric, and critical care/trauma patients
  • Nurses manage critical care skills including medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tube management
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week
  • Schedule is three 12-hour night shifts per week

Requirements

  • Active NV RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of ER experience in a U.S. hospital required
  • Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale
  • CPI certification required for this position
  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required
  • BSN highly desired
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
  • U.S. Social Security Number required
  • Date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Coordinates and delivers care to patients with complex nursing needs, ensuring safety, quality, and a positive patient experience
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
  • Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
