American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel contract in California, requiring an active CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.

ICU position within an acute care hospital setting
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
-
Every other Saturday and Sunday required
-
Holiday coverage required as needed
-
Active CA RN license required
-
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
PALS certification required (must be obtained within 180 days of hire if not already held)

TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required (must be obtained within 180 days of hire if not already held)
-
NIHSS certification required (must be obtained within 90 days of hire if not already held)

Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required

2 supervisor references from within the past two years required for consideration

Copies of all certifications required for consideration

Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care in an acute ICU setting

Develops and implements individualized care plans incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors

Maintains collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely communication

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
-
Former employees of this health system must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
-
Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved for this assignment
