Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel contract in California, requiring an active CA RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

  • ICU position within an acute care hospital setting
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
  • Every other Saturday and Sunday required
  • Holiday coverage required as needed

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • PALS certification required (must be obtained within 180 days of hire if not already held)
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required (must be obtained within 180 days of hire if not already held)
  • NIHSS certification required (must be obtained within 90 days of hire if not already held)
  • Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
  • 2 supervisor references from within the past two years required for consideration
  • Copies of all certifications required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Responsible for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care in an acute ICU setting
  • Develops and implements individualized care plans incorporating psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely communication
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
  • Former employees of this health system must have been away for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • Only 1 holiday RTO request will be approved for this assignment
