Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a Georgia or Compact RN license, with night shift availability and hospital-wide floating responsibilities including the Emergency Department.

  • Hospital float pool position with floating expected throughout the facility, including the Emergency Department
  • Critical care patient population across multiple units
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • No block schedule requests or alternate shift accommodations available
  • 8-week contract length

Requirements

  • Active GA or Compact RN license required
  • Current certifications required as listed in the position description (copies required for consideration)
  • Minimum 2 years of critical care RN experience required
  • Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred; charge nurse references not accepted

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Local candidates are accepted for this position
  • RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
  • Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review
  • Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as 1)
  • Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of one full year before returning as a travel nurse
  • Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
  • Full compliance with onboarding requirements is required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a two-week start date delay due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
