American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Critical Care Float Pool position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and a Georgia or Compact RN license, with night shift availability and hospital-wide floating responsibilities including the Emergency Department.

Hospital float pool position with floating expected throughout the facility, including the Emergency Department

Critical care patient population across multiple units

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Every other weekend required

No on-call responsibilities

No block schedule requests or alternate shift accommodations available

8-week contract length

Active GA or Compact RN license required

Current certifications required as listed in the position description (copies required for consideration)

Minimum 2 years of critical care RN experience required

Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred; charge nurse references not accepted

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Local candidates are accepted for this position

RTO maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment

Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two, with one holiday RTO request eligible for review

Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as 1)

Travelers must be away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of one full year before returning as a travel nurse

Travel pairs may not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit

Full compliance with onboarding requirements is required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a two-week start date delay due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
