American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a high-acuity Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience, prior travel experience, and active AWHONN fetal monitoring certification.

19-bed Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
-
High-acuity patient population with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1-2:1

EMR: Epic
-
12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week
-
On-call required: 12 hours within every 6-week scheduling period

Floating is required — travelers are first to float, including potential float to sister campuses within 15-20 minutes of the facility

Active FL RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NRP

AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course (completed and passed) required
-
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course and EFM certification preferred

Minimum 2 years of L&D experience required

Prior travel nursing experience required

Ability to manage high-acuity L&D patients

Nursing degree from an accredited program required, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation documentation

Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing

Two professional references required for consideration — one from within the past year

Travelers are welcomed into the unit and expected to function at the same level as core staff — flexibility and being a team player are highly valued

Orientation begins on a Friday with remote orientation components; candidates must be present at the facility on that Friday for badge/ID issuance

Scrub color: Galaxy Blue and/or White

Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — this rule is strictly enforced

Block scheduling requests are not accepted

All RTO requests must be submitted at the time of application; RTO will not be approved after submission
