Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Rockford, IL, requiring high-risk L&D experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• High-risk labor and delivery patient population
• Day shift schedule: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active IL RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS/CPR, ACLS, and NRP
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• High-risk L&D experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center required
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required

Additional Information

• Utilizes the nursing process and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members in patient care
• Develops, initiates, and executes individualized patient plans of care per physician orders and hospital policy, including patient and family education
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
• Provides clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments in support of longitudinal patient care planning
• Applies critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
