American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring at least 2 years of L&D experience, with night shift availability and on-call responsibilities.

Works in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit with 6 LDR rooms, 10 postpartum beds (2 of which can swing to LDR), 2 ORs, an OB Emergency Department (OBED), and 6 Special Care Nursery (SCN) beds

Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, as well as C-section cases managed by OBs and CNMs
-
Higher-risk patients include those on magnesium sulfate, preterm labor, and other complex OB conditions; SCN care provided up to 34 weeks gestation
-
Patient ratios: 1:1–1:2 for labor patients; 1:3 for couplet care

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), any day of the week

Weekend shifts required

On-call required, approximately 1–3 shifts per 6-week period

Floating required to other OB units within scope to meet facility needs

Charting is done in Epic

Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current certifications required: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring, and C-EFM (C-EFM is highly encouraged if not already held)

Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) nursing experience required

Epic EMR experience preferred

Provides comprehensive OB nursing care including labor support, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and special care nursery (up to 34 weeks)

Green scrubs required

RTO is capped at 10 days for the assignment; RTO is not permitted during the following blackout periods: June 28–July 9, July 4th holiday window, September 2–12, and October 25–November 4

Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are considered local and eligible for a different pay rate
