American Traveler is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapy Supervisor for a 13-week travel contract requiring a VA RT license and at least 5 years of clinical experience including adult and Level 3 NICU settings.

Supervisory role overseeing daily workflow, staffing allocation, and team performance

12-hour variable shifts, 36 hours per week

No on-call or holiday requirements

Active Virginia (VA) RT license required

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and either CRT or RRT
-
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience as a Respiratory Therapist

Minimum 2 years of supervisory or charge experience
-
Adult and Level 3 NICU experience required
-
Administers basic and advanced respiratory therapeutic interventions with high proficiency and without supervision

Oversees daily workflow, conducts team rounds and one-on-one meetings in coordination with department Manager and/or Director

Manages team performance through routine feedback and progressive corrective action when coordinated with leadership

Coordinates and monitors onboarding, cross-training, and training of new team members; may serve as primary trainer for new procedures

Participates in quality improvement projects, safety reviews, and regulatory compliance auditing

Assists with team scheduling, time-off approvals, timecard processing, and payroll corrections as needed

Participates in interviewing and hiring of team members

Collaborates with interdepartmental colleagues and senior leaders to resolve operational challenges

Contributes to a positive, inclusive department culture while supporting organizational and departmental initiatives
