Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg night shift position in Carlsbad, NM, requiring 2+ years of experience, ACLS, and BLS certifications.

Details

• General Medical-Surgical inpatient unit, with potential floating to the Rehab unit
• Night shift hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Floating and on-call required
• 13-week contract
• EMR: MedHost
• Scrubs: any color permitted

Requirements

• Active NM RN license or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• No certifications expiring within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• Fingerprinting required for all candidates working in New Mexico (process may take several weeks)

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers are not accepted
• Blocked scheduling may be accommodated if requested upfront
• RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position
