Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Hematology-Oncology position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in a similar large-scale setting.

Details

• Position is located on the 10A Hematology-Oncology unit of a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Common diagnoses include oncology, step-down, and heavy sickle cell cases
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is not approved on most units
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license — Georgia (GA) or Compact state license required
• Current BLS certification required
• Chemo certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Med/Surg or a similar specialty setting
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and diverse cases required
• Background in large-scale trauma or fast-paced critical care environments required
