American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Outpatient Infusion position at a Level I Trauma facility, with a strong preference for chemotherapy-certified nurses and Epic EMR experience.

Outpatient Infusion unit at a Level I Trauma acute care hospital
-
Department operates Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM with 8-hour shifts (primarily 9:00–5:30); no on-call requirements

Administers infusions including chemotherapy, antibiotics, blood products, iron, and IV fluids, as well as various injections

Department sees approximately 50 patients per day with 6–7 RNs on staff daily

13-week contract

Epic EMR in use

Active NE RN license or Compact (NLC) license currently in hand; pending licenses are not accepted

Current BLS certification (AHA); pending certifications are not accepted

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Infusion therapy experience required

Chemotherapy certification strongly preferred

Driver's license required for consideration and used to verify permanent address

2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; driver's license is used to verify permanent address

Candidates who are or have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year are not eligible; candidates who worked PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered

A pass/fail, open-book skills exam is administered during orientation (Friday of orientation week); a minimum score of 90% is required to continue the assignment

Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to remove them will result to contract termination
