Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Oncology travel assignment in Montana, requiring at least 1 year of oncology experience and an active MT or compact RN license.

Details

  • Acute oncology unit within a hospital setting
  • 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
  • 13-week contract
  • Epic EMR used for charting
  • Floating to other departments may be required based on business need
  • On-call may be required during a regularly scheduled shift

Requirements

  • Active MT or compact RN license required — no pending licenses accepted
  • Current AHA BLS certification required; must not expire prior to assignment start date
  • ACLS, NRP, or PALS as appropriate for the unit
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Med/Surg Oncology required
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN required; BSN preferred)
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • English proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing) required
  • DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Performs independent nursing and delegated medical functions in accordance with state Board of Nursing practice standards
  • Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care; health teaching; and health counseling
  • Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans, and refers patients as needed for further evaluation
  • Documents care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
  • Former permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year to be eligible for a travel assignment
  • BSN and specialty certification are preferred but not required
