Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Med/Surg Oncology travel contract requiring a TN or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Oncology unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (3x12-hour shifts per week)
• Patient ratio of 1:7
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating to other units required as needed
• Travelers are not responsible for administering chemotherapy

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS certification required (AHA-issued only)
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg or Oncology RN experience required
• Previous charge nurse experience preferred
• Two supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online computer-based learning (CBLs)
• Contract RNs are expected to actively support nursing student clinical education alongside their regular patient care duties
