Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 38-bed unit with a diverse cardiovascular, pulmonary, and psychiatric patient population on night shifts.

Details

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit at an acute care hospital
• Patient population includes cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, substance abuse, and medical diagnoses with underlying psychiatric disorders
• 38-bed unit with RN-to-patient ratios of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights and weekends; PCT-to-patient ratio is 1:10
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required every other and as needed
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required
• Prior Med/Surg Telemetry unit experience required
• Strong IV skills required
• Experience at a comparable-sized facility required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
• 13-week contract, 36 hours per week
