American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry & Stepdown position in Muscatine, IA, requiring at least 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency.

Works in the Acute Care Unit of a Level 4 trauma center hospital
-
Patient population includes acute and stepdown patients requiring telemetry monitoring, including those on critical drips and BiPAP
-
Patient ratios range from 1:2-3 to 1:6 depending on patient acuity
-
Epic EMR is used; experience is required
-
Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 12-hour shifts
-
36 hours per week scheduled
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call responsibilities

Floating to the ER is required; candidates must be comfortable doing so

Active IA RN license required; compact license also accepted
-
Active IL RN license required at time of consideration

Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
-
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg and Stepdown RN experience required
-
Experience with critical care drips/gtts and BiPAP required
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Supervisory reference from within the past 2 years required
-
Driver's License required

Candidate's taxable address must be outside of 50 miles from the facility

Contributes clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team

Must be comfortable managing acute patients on critical drips and BiPAP
-
May be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
