American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift position at an acute care Magnet-recognized teaching hospital in Rochester, NY, requiring an active NY RN license and Epic proficiency.

Med/Surg Telemetry (MSU) unit within a 528-bed acute care Magnet-recognized teaching hospital in Rochester, NY

Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

13-week contract

Patient ratio of 1:5

Cardiac monitoring responsibilities include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
-
Clinical skills required include non-invasive airway management (nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks), IV therapy, phlebotomy, peripheral line care/management, and isolation precautions

Charting via Epic (experience required)

Every other weekend required

Floating within skillset required

Holiday coverage required on an every-other-holiday basis, as needed

Active NY single state RN license currently in hand (NY is not a Compact state)

Current BLS certification

Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience

Proficiency with Epic EMR

Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response protocols

2 professional supervisory references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
