American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position specializing in rehab and neurological patients, requiring a minimum of 2 years of RN experience and Epic proficiency.

Inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
-
Specialized rehabilitation unit serving patients with CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injuries, neurological diagnoses, post-stroke, post-aneurysm, post-op surgical, and generalized debility

Patient ratio of 1:6
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Every 3rd weekend required

Holiday coverage required as needed

Floating required between all health system campuses as needed

Epic EMR experience is mandatory

Active NC or Compact RN license required
-
Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Acute care rehab experience preferred

Skills required include interpretation of laboratory results, medication reconciliation, vital signs assessment, dressing changes, aseptic/sterile procedure setup, specimen collection (capillary, throat, urine), phlebotomy, and telephone triage

Copy of driver's license required for consideration

2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration

Provide specialized nursing care to rehabilitation patients with neurological and post-surgical diagnoses

All RNs must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during compliance — two attempts are allowed; study materials will not be provided by the facility, so candidates should prepare in advance

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel pay rate
