Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Level III NICU position requiring experience with micro preemies and high-frequency ventilation, with every weekend availability required.

Details

  • Hospital NICU setting, Level III designation
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
  • Every weekend is required, plus one weekday shift per week
  • Patient ratio of 1:2
  • Unit practices couplet care with a Stork RN on each shift
  • Experience with micro preemies and high-frequency ventilation is required in this setting
  • Floating required within a 5-hospital system based on staffing needs
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Block scheduling is not allowed
  • Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

  • Active RN license in NJ or a compact license valid in NJ is required
  • Current certifications: BLS and NRP
  • Minimum 2–3 years of NICU experience required
  • Level III NICU experience required
  • Hands-on experience with micro preemies and high-frequency ventilation required
  • COVID-19 vaccination required, no exemptions accepted
  • Flu vaccination required, no exemptions accepted
  • Two current professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Provide neonatal intensive care within a couplet care model supported by a Stork RN each shift
  • Candidates must be available to float across up to 5 facilities within their skillset
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; RTO requests submitted afterward will not be honored
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible at a local pay rate
  • First-time travelers are accepted but not preferred
