American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PICU position at a major academic medical center in Cleveland, OH, requiring a minimum of 18 months of pediatric experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) of a large hospital
-
Patient population spans all ages up to 25 years, including cases involving epilepsy monitoring and inotrope management

Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12-hour shifts)

Every other holiday coverage is required

Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred

Minimum 18 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in the PICU or pediatric specialty required prior to any travel experience

Minimum 18 months of recent pediatric experience required (travel experience accepted)

Experience with ECG/EKG rhythm recognition required

Experience with inotropes required

Experience with epilepsy monitoring preferred

Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Two professional references required for consideration

Provide specialized critical care nursing to a pediatric and young adult population, including epilepsy monitoring and inotrope management

ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required

Travelers may not work more than 18 consecutive months across any locations within this health system, and must wait a minimum of 6 months before beginning a new assignment at any of the system's locations
