Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/MS/PCU position at a small rural hospital in Claremont, NH, requiring 3+ years of experience across Med-Surg, Telemetry, and PCU settings.

Details

  • Work in the Med-Surg/Telemetry/PCU unit of a small, rural 25-bed hospital
  • Patient population spans newborn to geriatric
  • RN-to-patient ratio is 5:1, adjusting to 3:1 or 4:1 for higher acuity PCU patients, applicable on both day and night shifts
  • Candidates must be comfortable and proficient across all three specialties: MS, Tele, and PCU
  • 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend required; holiday coverage required as needed
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active NH RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in PCU, Med-Surg, and Telemetry required
  • Experience in a medical/surgical setting with cardiac monitoring required
  • Basic dysrhythmia test required
  • Rural or small facility experience highly preferred
  • Previous travel experience highly preferred
  • Must be able to work independently and adapt quickly
  • One supervisory-signed reference from within the past two years of employment required
  • Personal vehicle required for this assignment
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities span Med-Surg, Telemetry, and PCU patient care — candidates must be fully cross-trained and comfortable in all three areas
  • Travel pairs will be considered, provided both travelers can work separate shifts when needed
  • This is a non-teaching facility
  • Personal scrubs of any color are acceptable
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to or at the time of application; RTO requests will not be approved after placement, and a maximum of 5 days of RTO will be approved for the 13-week assignment
  • First-time travelers are not explicitly excluded, though previous travel experience is highly preferred
