Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a regional medical center in Hazard, KY, requiring BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications with a 13-week contract.

Details

• Med/Surg Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Patient population includes MS/Tele and observation patients
• RN-to-patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7 (ratios may fluctuate with census, call-ins, etc.)
• Day shift, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), working either 3x12 or 4x12 per two-week pay period
• Floating to other units required during low census

Requirements

• Active KY RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Orientation is conducted on a bi-weekly schedule
• Holiday coverage policy is in effect and applies to all requested time off during holidays
• Short-stay patient focus within the MS/Tele and observation setting
