Travel Technology Consultant

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Travel Technology Consultant with strong hands-on experience in the travel industry, specifically hotel bookings, and a solid understanding of travel technology workflows. This role will act as a bridge between the operational travel booking side and our technical development team, ensuring smooth integration of supplier data and effective implementation of travel tech solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

⦁ Work closely with business and tech teams to translate travel booking processes into technical requirements.

⦁ Understand and explain how hotel data is sourced from suppliers (GDS, bedbanks, channel managers, APIs, etc.).

⦁ Assist in evaluating and integrating supplier APIs, ensuring correct mapping and data flow into the booking platform.

⦁ Identify gaps between operational travel requirements and current system capabilities.

⦁ Test and validate system functionality against real-world travel booking scenarios.

⦁ Provide insights on hotel booking workflows, rate structures, room types, cancellation policies, and other industry-specific details.

⦁ Liaise with suppliers to clarify data specifications and resolve content or booking issues.

Requirements:

⦁ Minimum 5 years’ experience in the travel industry with a focus on hotel bookings.

⦁ Strong understanding of travel supplier integrations (GDS, wholesalers, aggregators).

⦁ Familiarity with API-based hotel content and booking systems.

⦁ Ability to act as a bridge between operational and technical teams.

⦁ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

⦁ Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).

Preferred Skills:

⦁ Experience in hotel content mapping and room type standardization.

⦁ Exposure to ERP/booking platform development projects.

⦁ Understanding of travel industry standards (e.g., OpenTravel, OTA schema).

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
