American Traveler is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a night and day shift position in McKinney, TX, requiring RDMS and RVT certifications with a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Hospital-based imaging/ultrasound department

Mixed schedule: nights on Saturday and Sunday (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) and days on Tuesday (12:00 PM – 8:30 PM)

3 shifts per week (2 night shifts, 1 day shift)

Patient population spans all age groups: newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric

Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience

Active RDMS and RVT certifications required
-
BLS certification required (AHA only)

Active TX license required if applicable

Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position

Performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures in both ambulatory and hospital settings under the supervision of a radiologist or physician

Responsible for patient positioning, equipment setup, and adhering to established exam protocols

Communicates procedure details to patients and families, ensuring patient comfort and understanding

Maintains accurate imaging records and documentation including patient history, consent forms, and requisitions

Adheres to PACS, EMR, image exchange systems, and modality worklist workflows
-
Follows infection control, sterile technique, and safety protocols including hand hygiene requirements

May serve as a trainer for new team members or on new services and initiatives

Flu vaccination is mandatory with no exemptions; typically required during August through November

Black or dark grey scrubs required
