American Traveler is hiring a Sonographer with ARDMS or CCI registration and a minimum of 200 documented inpatient echocardiography cases, with required experience scanning TAVR and MitraClip procedures.

Non-invasive cardiovascular services department within an acute care hospital setting
-
Dedicated inpatient echocardiography work with adult cardiac patient population
-
Cases include advanced structural heart procedures such as TAVR, MitraClip, VAD, and closure devices
-
Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts: Sunday (any 8-hour shift), Monday through Tuesday and Thursday through Friday 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

May float to a nearby sister hospital facility

Epic used for charting; familiarity preferred

Equipment includes Philips iE33 and Epiq ultrasound systems

Registered Cardiac Diagnostic Medical Sonographer credential through ARDMS or CCI required

Current BLS certification from the AHA required
-
Minimum of 200 documented inpatient echocardiography cases required, evidenced by institutional referral
-
Must have hands-on experience scanning TAVR and MitraClip procedures at a facility where these are performed

Proficiency in valvular assessment with strong spectral Doppler and Pedoff skills required

Experience with contrast echocardiography and agitated saline studies required

High school diploma or GED required

Active NJ license required if applicable

Two professional references required for consideration

Prepares patients for examination, explains procedures in accessible terms, and monitors patients throughout the entire study

Reviews prior reports, images, and patient charts prior to performing studies to ensure completeness and accuracy

Ensures appropriate imaging techniques are used, studies are thorough, and findings are communicated to the reading physician as needed

Maintains exam records, logs, and inventory/supply management for the assigned area
-
TEE, Stress Echo, 3D echo imaging, and familiarity with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and ICAEL accreditation standards are preferred

Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES Cardiovascular Technology Program is preferred

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
