Description

American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer with OB certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel contract.

Details

• 13-week travel contract
• Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• Call required every third weekend
• Performs a full range of ultrasound studies including OB, general, and vascular
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of ultrasound experience in a US hospital setting
• OB ultrasound experience required
• RDMS certification required, with OB registration required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• Graduate of an accredited sonography program
• License required if applicable — active license required, no pending licensure accepted
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer

Additional Information

• Performs dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs to aid in the diagnosis of disease and evaluation of organ function
• Operates sonographic equipment and communicates results of diagnostic examinations
• Responsible for patient safety protocols throughout all imaging procedures
• Provides age-appropriate care across the patient population served
• Must be flexible and adaptable to changes in scheduling or facility needs
