About the Traveling Creative Instructor
Creator Camp is seeking passionate and adaptable instructors to travel across the country and internationally to teach at various Air Force bases. As a Traveling Creative Instructor, you’ll lead hands-on camps in filmmaking, animation, game design, music production, and entrepreneurship, bringing the Creator Camp experience to youth nationwide and abroad.
This role combines creativity, leadership, and adventure. You’ll represent Creator Camp at the highest level, working in diverse environments and adapting your teaching style to new locations and teams each week.
You will be placed on a traveling team serving military families at locations across 25+ U.S. states, with potential opportunities abroad in countries like Japan, South Korea, Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
All travel and lodging is fully covered, and you’ll receive advanced training to help you deliver unforgettable experiences wherever you go.
Pay
$500 per weekly session
Time Commitment* + Training
You will be committed to 6 bi-weekly sessions. You MUST be available for these assigned weeks:
June 1-5
June 15-19
June 29-July 3
July 13-17
July 27-31
August 10-14
*Optional sessions are available for pickup in between your assigned sessions.
You may expect roughly 15-30 hours of work per session.
You will complete remote training and attend a virtual orientation 1-2 weeks prior to the first session, both paid.
Qualifications
- Must be 21+ years old, a USA Citizen, possess a valid Driver’s License, and hold a valid Passport through at least August 2026.
- At least THREE years of classroom experience, which can include roles such as tutoring, summer camp counseling, coaching, teacher's assistant, or art instruction.
- Minimum of TWO years of experience working with children, whether through babysitting, tutoring, supervising younger siblings, or working in daycare facilities.
- Higher education in fields related to digital art, filmmaking, animation, coding, music production, game design, entrepreneurship, early childhood education, secondary education, or special education.
- MUST be available for ALL assigned sessions mentioned above.
- Knowledge of and interest in Minecraft and/or Roblox
- Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
- Ability to lead classes in multiple subjects.
- Must pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional representation of Creator Camp and actively contribute to positive, inspiring, and high-quality experiences that uphold Creator Camp's mission.
- Deliver course content related to digital art like filmmaking, animation, entrepreneurship, music production, or game design at various Air Force installations.
- Work closely with your partner instructor to manage a class of 5-25 campers fostering a fun and safe creative environment.
- Maintain constant and professional communication with Creator Camp management and on-base points of contact.
- Arrange and book flights and accommodations to and from your assigned session destination.
- Upon arrival at the destination airport, you must secure reliable transportation, such as a rental car, to and from Air Force Bases and accommodation, as well as transporting all necessary camp supplies.
- Ensure all travel expenses and schedules are tracked and reported accurately for reimbursement.
- Store the supplies received from Creator Camp throughout the summer, and arrange for their return shipment to Creator Camp at the end of the summer season.
- Be prepared for occasional extended days or flexible hours to accommodate base schedules.
