Job Title: Treasury Officer

A leading distribution firm, is looking for a detail-oriented Treasury Officer for its Head office - Karachi

Experience : 1-2 Years in Treasury Functions, Experience with Microsoft AX or other accounting software is preferred.

Qualification: Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily cash positions and ensure sufficient liquidity for operations.
• Execute internal fund transfers.
• Prepare monthly Stock Report & submit to bank.
• Manage & Operate Banks Portals.
• Verifying Banks Markup & Profit
• Maintain investment schedules
• Handle and negotiate import payment.
• Reconcile cash balances across multiple bank accounts.
• Liaise with banks to open, manage & update accounts & Signatories, facilities, and related documentation Like LAF BBFS.
• Manage KYC processes and ensure compliance with banking regulations.
• Support in negotiating banking terms and charges.
• Prepare short- and long-term cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare borrowing needs and maintain liability schedules.
• Analyze variances between forecasted and actual cash flows.
• Maintain treasury reports and dashboards for management review.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and treasury policies.
• Support audits and regulatory reporting related to treasury functions.
• Participate in treasury-related projects and process improvements.
• Support ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support tasks.

Key Responsibilities

· Cash & Liquidity Management: Oversee daily cash positions to ensure optimal liquidity for seamless business operations.

· Fund Transfers & Banking Operations: Execute internal fund transfers, operate and manage bank portals, and ensure smooth banking transactions.

· Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly stock reports to banks, maintain investment schedules, and ensure accurate reconciliation of cash balances across multiple bank accounts.

· Banking Relationship Management: Liaise with banks for account openings, updates, signatory changes, and management of banking facilities (including LAF, BBFS). Negotiate favorable banking terms, charges, and import payment arrangements.

· Regulatory Compliance: Manage KYC processes, verify bank markup/profit, and ensure adherence to banking regulations and internal treasury policies.

· Forecasting & Analysis: Prepare short- and long-term cash flow forecasts, analyze variances between projected and actual cash flows, and determine borrowing needs while maintaining liability schedules.

· Treasury Oversight: Maintain comprehensive treasury reports and dashboards for management review, support audits, and fulfill regulatory reporting requirements.

· Continuous Improvement: Participate in treasury-related projects, process enhancements, and deliver ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Key Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP/accounting software.
• Treasury Expertise: Strong understanding of liquidity management, fund transfers, bank reconciliations, and investment schedules.
• Banking & Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with KYC processes, regulatory requirements, and negotiation of banking terms and charges.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to prepare cash flow forecasts, analyze variances, and recommend improvements for cash and liquidity positions.
• Communication & Coordination: Strong interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with banks, auditors, and internal stakeholders.
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in financial reporting, documentation, and compliance adherence.
• Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving treasury and cash flow issues.
