Responsibilities

• Safely ascend trees using climbing gear and techniques to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks.
• Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access hard-to-reach areas efficiently and securely.
• Use rigging equipment to carefully lower branches or debris, ensuring safety for team members and surroundings.
• Conduct assessments of tree health and growth patterns, utilizing GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and documentation.
• Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general landscaping to support overall site aesthetics.
• Follow all safety protocols related to tree care, rigging, bucket operation, and equipment use to prevent accidents.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including tree conditions, treatments applied, and equipment used.

Skills

• Proven growing experience in arboriculture or horticulture with a strong understanding of tree care practices.
• Skilled in rigging techniques for safe removal or pruning of large branches.
• Experience operating bucket trucks and bucket lifts with a focus on safety and precision.
• Familiarity with GIS technology for mapping trees and landscape features.
• Knowledge of landscaping principles including lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general horticulture.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing, lifting heavy loads, and working at heights comfortably.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent safety awareness to ensure safe work environments.
