Tree Climber (Contract)

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Tree Climber (Contract) to join our dynamic team dedicated to maintaining healthy, beautiful, and safe urban and rural landscapes. As a Tree Climber, you will be responsible for executing tree care, trimming, and removal projects with precision and care. Responsibilities

• Safely ascend trees using climbing gear, rigging techniques, and bucket trucks to perform pruning, trimming, or removal tasks.
• Operate bucket trucks and other aerial lift equipment efficiently to access hard-to-reach areas.
• Implement proper rigging procedures to secure branches or sections for controlled removal.
• Conduct comprehensive tree assessments, identifying hazards or disease symptoms that require attention.
• Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscaping projects including lawn care, landscape maintenance, and planting activities.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, including tree conditions, treatments applied, and project progress.
• Follow all safety protocols related to tree care, equipment operation, and working at heights to ensure a secure work environment.

Qualifications

• Proven growing experience in tree care, horticulture, or related landscape maintenance fields.
• Strong knowledge of tree trimming techniques, pruning standards, and plant health fundamentals.
• Experience with rigging methods for safe removal or pruning of large branches or trees.
• Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and efficiently; certification in bucket operation is a plus.
• Familiarity with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping or project planning is advantageous.
• Knowledge of lawn care, landscaping practices, and general horticultural principles.
• Physical fitness to climb trees regularly and work at heights for extended periods; comfort working outdoors in various weather conditions.
