As a key player in talent acquisition, you will drive the sourcing, screening, and onboarding of qualified truck drivers, ensuring our fleet remains staffed with dedicated professionals committed to safety and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted recruiting campaigns utilizing social media management, HR sourcing tools like iCIMS, Workday, and Salesforce to attract top trucking talent.
- Conduct cold calling and outreach efforts to generate leads and build a robust pipeline of qualified driver candidates.
- Screen resumes and applications through ATS systems such as Lever, Taleo, or PeopleSoft to identify suitable candidates for open driver positions.
- Interview prospective drivers, assessing their skills, experience, and compatibility with company standards while ensuring compliance with employment & labor law.
- Manage relationships with external recruiting agencies and internal hiring managers to coordinate interview schedules and hiring processes.
- Negotiate employment contracts and employment terms while maintaining transparency about job expectations and company policies.
- Facilitate employee orientation sessions and onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration into the organization.
- Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions, employee evaluations, and recruitment metrics using HRIS platforms like Kronos or UltiPro.
- Stay informed on industry trends related to trucking regulations, safety standards, and labor laws to ensure compliant hiring practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in technical recruiting or talent acquisition within logistics or transportation sectors.
- Strong negotiation skills paired with excellent communication skills for engaging candidates and managing relationships effectively.
- Familiarity with ATS platforms such as iCIMS, Workday, Taleo, or Salesforce is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law applicable to trucking industry hiring practices.
- Experience with HRIS systems including Kronos, UltiPro, ADP or PeopleSoft for employee data management.
- Demonstrated success in cold calling, lead generation, and campus recruitment initiatives targeting potential truck drivers.
