Job Purpose

The Truck Maintenance Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive and breakdown maintenance of the HINO 300 (916 & 714) truck fleet, ensuring maximum uptime, reliability, and compliance with safety standards. The role requires expertise in clutch, gearbox, transmission, engine, brake, axle, steering, suspension, and air-conditioning system repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on HINO 300 series diesel trucks.
• Diagnose and repair issues related to:
  • Clutch overhaul and adjustments
  • Air-conditioning system (evaporator, condenser, compressor)
  • Brake system (disc, drum, hydraulic, vacuum assist, ABS)
  • Transmission, gearbox, and differential
  • Engine mechanical and auxiliary systems
  • Steering and suspension systems
  • Electrical and chassis related systems
• Conduct minor and major services as per manufacturer's maintenance schedules.
• Use diagnostic tools and service manuals for troubleshooting.
• Ensure compliance with QHSE standards during maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate records of all services and repairs.

Skills and Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of HINO 300 diesel trucks.
• Hands-on experience in engine, gearbox, clutch, brake, steering, and AC repairs.
• Ability to read technical manuals and interpret specifications.
• Familiar with preventive maintenance practices.
• Problem solving and fault diagnosis skills.
• Safety awareness and adherence to company policies.

• Timely completion of scheduled services.
• Reduction in repeat breakdowns.
• Compliance with QHSE standards.
• Accurate and timely maintenance reporting.
