Truss Designer & Customer Support Representative

Introduction

Individuals holding the title of Truss Designer can expect a self-managed independent work environment, while still being able to reap all the benefits of working within a large team of designers. Emphasis for this position is strongly placed on the quality of work done on both truss layouts and design. Training is available to candidates with the right skill sets.

This position reports in person to our Bartow, FL location. It is not a remote position.

The Company

Family owned and operated since 1977, Central Florida Truss has three offices located across the state; our home office in Bartow and two satellite offices in Sarasota and Melbourne. Much of our current design team has been with the company over 15 years and we are looking to expand our roster at our satellite offices to meet increasing demand.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of one of the following

An associate’s degree in a related field of study. Two years of experience with truss design software. Two years of field experience in home construction.

Highly effective communication skills, reading comprehension, and critical thinking skills are also important qualities to help ensure success in the Truss Designer position. Experience in customer service, AutoCAD, and Microsoft office suite of software (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is preferred but not required.

We are currently looking for candidates for our Bartow and Sarasota offices. This is not a remote designer position.
