As a Closing Unit Trust Administrator with our company, you will support the Closing Unit Trust Officer and report to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). You will assist with the closing process and coordination of terminating accounts with other trust officers as necessary. You will assist our team with inquiries from internal and external partners, management of the terminations pipeline, client meetings and different administrative tasks. We offer unique levels of service to solidify the unique experience offered by Arden Trust and need to ensure proficiency with account terminations.
What You'll do
- Being a part of the trust company, in this role, will require that the candidate can work independently with minimal administrative supervision on highly complex projects with extensive latitude for independent judgment while also possessing the ability to provide communication on issues or complex information to a wide audience based on knowledge.
- The candidate will be expected to be a primary mentor for others on staff and as a role model for the rest of team providing direction and training when requested as they will be assigned to the most highly visible, sensitive and critical issues.
- While this role supports the assigned Closing Unit Trust Officer in the administration of closing trust accounts, they will also interact in an ongoing relationship with associated financial partners and trust clients to assist with account administration functions to ensure client satisfaction.
- Closing trust accounts requires that daily tasks are expected to be completed in regard to processing the closing request with posting receipts, entering pending trade orders, raising cash for distributions, entering check/wire requests, and submitting ACH transfer instructions to ensure a smooth transition out to beneficiaries or successor trustees.
- The candidate will handle account inquiries, research account discrepancies, and ensure that documentation is maintained for current and historical monitoring of accounts.
- The candidate will also assist with any special projects and other related duties assigned as needed.
What you'll Bring
- Trust experience specifically with a prior Trust Company in a trust administrative or trust operational role
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Trust system experience
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Exhibit professional phone demeanor.
- Good organizational skills, efficiency skills, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Be able to work effectively, independently and collaboratively with a broad range of executives and members of the firm.
