Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Tunnel Project Manager to lead the planning, design, execution, and successful delivery of tunneling projects using various methodologies, including NATM, TBM, cut-and-cover, and microtunneling. This role demands strong technical acumen, strategic leadership, and cross-functional coordination to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

 Manage end-to-end tunnel construction projects, including planning, design review, execution, monitoring, and close-out.

 Lead multidisciplinary teams comprising engineers, supervisors, contractors, and consultants.

 Oversee tunnel construction techniques such as TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine), NATM, cut-and-cover, and microtunneling.

 Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.

 Ensure compliance with all technical specifications, contractual obligations, safety protocols, and environmental standards.

 Review and approve construction drawings, method statements, material submittals, and engineering designs.

 Interface with clients, government agencies, local authorities, and utility stakeholders.

 Conduct site inspections, quality audits, and regular project progress meetings.

 Maintain project documentation, reporting, and implement change management processes.

 Enforce robust HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) practices across all project activities.

 Manage contractor claims, variations, and approve work measurements and billing.

Requirements:

 Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

 10–15 years of experience in large-scale tunneling or underground infrastructure projects.

 Proven expertise in TBM/NATM tunneling techniques, including ground treatment, dewatering, shotcrete, and segmental lining.

 Knowledge of IS, BS, EN, IRC, and other tunneling codes and international standards.

 Experience working with international consultants, EPC firms, or public infrastructure authorities.

 Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.

 Proficiency in tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and BIM-based platforms.

Preferred Skills:

 Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent).

 Experience with metro rail, highway tunnels, hydropower, or railway tunnel projects.

 Knowledge of geotechnical investigations, monitoring instrumentation, and tunnel stability assessments.

 Understanding of contract frameworks like FIDIC, EPC, or LSTK models.

Compensation:

₹15 LPA to ₹20 LPA (commensurate with experience and qualifications)

Work Environment:

This is a field-intensive position requiring regular presence at project sites, often in remote or geographically challenging environments. The role may involve night shifts or 24/7 operations during excavation, breakthrough, or critical construction phases.

Pay: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
