Tutor

Job Summary
Eagle Ranch Academy is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated Tutor to support students 6th-12th grade within our residential treatment setting. This role focuses on helping students succeed academically while fostering confidence, accountability, and personal growth. The Tutor will work closely with students to assist with coursework, reinforce learning concepts, and help them achieve individualized academic goals.

In addition to academic support, this position may occasionally assist in staffing support duties as needed to ensure a safe, structured, and supportive environment for all students.

Duties

• Develop and implement customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student needs
• Deliver engaging tutoring sessions in subjects such as math, science, language arts, or specialized areas like special education or early childhood education
• Utilize learning technology tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Manage classroom behavior to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and caregivers to support student success and address individual challenges
• Maintain detailed records of lesson plans, student progress, and attendance for reporting purposes

Qualifications

• Proven experience in tutoring, teaching, or working with children or adult learners preferred not required.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning techniques
• Familiarity with learning technology platforms and digital educational tools
• Excellent communication skills to clearly convey concepts and motivate students
• Experience in classroom management and working with diverse learner populations, including special education or early childhood settings
• Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet individual learning styles and needs
• Prior preschool or classroom experience is highly desirable
• Passion for education, patience, and enthusiasm for helping students achieve their goals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
