Tutor Doctor is building a roster of experienced tutors interested in providing individual and group tutoring services for adult learners with disabilities. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting adults with disabilities in building literacy, academic, and vocational skills.
This is not your typical K-12 tutoring role (although if you have K-12 experience that is a major plus!). You would be working with adult learners who are working toward real-life goals — whether that is improving foundational literacy, developing job-ready skills, or preparing for the Hi-SET (GED) exam.
What This Role Could Involve

- Supporting literacy development for adult learners
- Helping students build academic skills relevant to their personal and vocational goals

- Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the unique needs of each learner
What We're Looking For
- Teaching experience and strong subject-matter expertise in your area of instruction
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities strongly preferred
- Patient, adaptable, and able to meet learners where they are
- Strong communication skills and a respectful, encouraging approach
- Reliable and professional
- Willingness to complete a background check
Why This Role?
- Make a meaningful, lasting impact in adults' lives and futures
- Flexible scheduling — individual and group sessions available
- Opportunity to specialize in adult education and disability-inclusive instruction
- Be considered for upcoming opportunities as they become available
