UAE National Safety officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced UAE National Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and compliance with all relevant local and international regulations. This role requires a proactive individual with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of occupational health and safety principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures in line with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses to identify potential dangers and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure full compliance with UAE specific safety regulations, including OSHAD, Dubai Municipality, and other relevant local authorities.
• Lead and conduct thorough investigations of all incidents, accidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and recommending preventative measures.
• Organize and deliver comprehensive safety training programs and workshops for employees, contractors, and visitors on various safety topics, including emergency procedures, use of PPE, and safe work practices.
• Prepare and maintain detailed safety records, reports, and documentation, including incident logs, inspection reports, and training records.
• Advise management on current and emerging safety legislation, best practices, and technological advancements to continually improve safety performance.
• Coordinate and participate in emergency response planning and drills, ensuring all personnel are aware of and prepared for emergency situations.
• Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization through effective communication, engagement, and awareness campaigns.
• Monitor the implementation of safety measures and ensure adherence to safety protocols by all personnel on site.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies, auditors, and consultants on all matters related to health and safety.
