We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced UAE National Safety Officer to join our client which is a reknown construction Company based in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and compliance with all relevant local and international regulations. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of safety principles and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety.
- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in accordance with UAE federal and local regulations, as well as international standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks effectively.
- Lead incident investigations, including near misses, accidents, and occupational illnesses, to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of all safety-related activities, inspections, and training.
- Organize and deliver engaging safety training sessions for employees at all levels, covering topics such as hazard communication, emergency preparedness, safe work practices, and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure compliance with all Permit-to-Work systems and other safety protocols for high-risk activities.
- Advise management on current and upcoming safety legislation, best practices, and technological advancements in HSE.
- Develop and manage emergency response plans, including fire safety, evacuation procedures, and first aid protocols.
- Collaborate with department heads and employees to promote a strong safety culture and encourage active participation in safety initiatives.
- Maintain and update safety documentation, including risk assessments, safety data sheets (SDS), and training records.
- Coordinate with external regulatory bodies and ensure all necessary licenses and permits are up-to-date.
