Upholstery Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and supervise upholstery production activities including sofas, chairs, beds, headboards, cushions, wall panels, curtains, and loose furniture
• Manage upholstery workshop operations, ensuring productivity, quality, and on-time delivery
• Lead and control upholsterers, tailors, helpers, and supervisors
• Coordinate with design, estimation, procurement, and project teams for drawings, specifications, and timelines
• Ensure proper selection and usage of fabrics, leather, foam, accessories, and hardware
• Implement and monitor quality control standards at all stages of upholstery work
• Control material consumption, wastage, and cost optimization
• Support estimation team with technical inputs, material feasibility, and production rates
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and housekeeping standards in the workshop
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly production and progress reports to management

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 5 -8 years of experience in upholstery operations, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role
• Strong experience in interior fit-out / furniture manufacturing companies
• In-depth knowledge of upholstery construction methods, materials, and finishes
• Proven experience in manpower handling and customer interactions
• Diploma / Bachelor’s in Interior Design, Engineering, or relevant technical field (preferred)
