UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) Engineer

We are seeking a skilled UPS Engineer to install, maintain, and repair Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, ensuring reliable power backup for critical operations in data centers, hospitals, and industrial environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, and maintain UPS systems (online, offline, line-interactive).
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on UPS units and battery banks.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, and control system faults.
  • Conduct battery health checks, load testing, and replacement.
  • Monitor UPS performance, respond to breakdowns and alarms.
  • Maintain service records, reports, and maintenance logs.
  • Ensure proper earthing, cabling, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Coordinate with vendors/OEMs for spare parts and advanced repairs.
  • Support Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) and critical power environments.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or Power Engineering.
  • Proven experience as a UPS Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of power electronics, inverters, rectifiers, and batteries.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, SLDs, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with UPS brands (APC, Vertiv, Eaton, Emerson, Socomec, Delta, Numeric) preferred.
  • Experience in data centers or industrial environments is an advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and safety-conscious mindset.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and provide on-call support.
  • Certification in UPS brand such as Vertiv

Work Environment:

Site-based role (data centers, hospitals, commercial/industrial sites).

Shift work and emergency on-call support required.
